Amanda Bynes or Amanda Laura Bynes was born on April 3, 1986 in Thousand Oaks, California, USA. Her father, Dr. Rick Bynes, is a dentist and her mother Lynn Bynes, work as an assistant to her father in his dental chamber. She has an elder sister, Jillian Bynes and an elder brother, Tommy Bynes.

Amanda Bynes’ father encouraged her to take up a career in acting. Her father was an avid comedy enthusiast. She started her acting career at the age of ten, when she got a role in Laugh Factory kids' comedy showcase. Her performance earned her a lot of attention and soon she got a call from Nickelodeon talent scouts. This was the Amanda Bynes’ first break in film/television industry.

Amanda Bynes made her debut appearance in film in Big Fat Liar. Her acting style is very similar to Charlie Chaplin’s slapstick comedy style. She began her acting career at a very early age.

Presently she is staying with her family in Ventura County, California. She has plans to study business management in University of California, Los Angeles. Amanda Bynes wants to curve a niche in the comedy genre, which is regarded as a domain of male performers. Her hobbies include watching films, chatting with friends, listening to music and shopping.
