Plot - The film is based on the true story of a 1990s incarnation of the MIT Blackjack Team. The film is derived from the story of the Bringing Down the House, the best-selling book by Ben Mezrich. "21" is a fact-based story about six MIT students who were given training to become experts in card counting and consequently took Vegas casinos for millions in their winning ground.
Ben Campbell (Jim Sturgess) is a shy, brilliant M.I.T. student tries to income through card games to pay school tuition. He joined a group of the schools most gifted students who visit Vegas every weekend with fake identities to know-how to turn the odds at blackjack in their favor. The film process with many twists and turns, giving surprises to its viewers now and then.
This is the third film in which Kevin Spacey and Kate Bosworth have been casted together. The first was Beyond the Sea, directed by Spacey, and the other was Superman Returns. The pair is planning to star together in the Superman Returns sequel Superman: The Man of Steel.
Awards – The fil “21” won a special award for the best ensemble; the winners were Jim Sturgess, Kate Bosworth, Kevin Spacey, Laurence Fishburne, Liza Lapira, Aaron Yoo, Josh Gad and Jacob Pitts.
