Plot -The main character of the film; Charlotte is a young Scottish woman, who has studied in France and had lived in London during World War II. Within few weeks, Charlotte fell in love with a young pilot. She was later recruited by the Secret Service to work as a courier for the French Resistance. However her mission behind enemy lines eventually gets too personal when she actually discloses her main aim to avenge her lover who has been shot down. Assigned to a Communist Resistance group she faces acts of betrayal from various unpredicted sources, but meets the violence of war and her own frustration with hope..

Review - Charlotte Gray is a feature film based on the novel by Sebastian Faulks. It is shot in Vichy France during the World War II. The film stars Cate Blanchett, Billy Crudup, Michael Gambon and Rupert Penry-Jones. The film was not much commercially successful and faced severe financial problems. However, the production costs of the film was recovered along with a fair amount of monetary profit.
