Plot – A genetic abnormality allows David Rice to teleport himself anywhere anytime. He discovers this gift has existed for centuries and finds himself amidst a war that was started before thousands of years between "Jumpers" and they have sworn to kill their oppositions. Shy teen David Rice (played by Max Theriot) has a crush on the beautiful Millie (played by AnnaSophia Robb), who dreamt of travelling round the world.
Sometimes Davis found himself in the damp aisle of the darkened library, and realizes that he has teleported there again. It dawns on him that he finally has a way to change his life, to escape his situation, the same way his mother abandoned the family when he was five. He teleports home and recovers a small store of money and a few belongings. But before he leaves town, he goes to Millie's house. Millie is sure that David is dead, but she hears a noise outside, she comes out and finds the snow globe sitting on the swing set. Thus, she came to know that he is alive, but he does not respond to her calls any more.
The next day he reaches the city and stays in a cheap room. He practices teleporting in the park, and thus learning how to control his power. Then he breaks into a bank, and robs it by teleporting directly in to the area of vault in the mid night.  The story brings about many more surprises through the interesting capability of the lead actor.

Review – A report according to the Rotten Tomatoes said that around 16% of critics gave the film positive reviews, which was based on 135 reviews. The consensus was "An erratic action picture with little coherence and lackluster special effects.” Metacritic declared that the film had an average score of 36 out of 100, based on 28 reviews. Jumper grossed around $27.3 million in 3,428 theaters from Friday to Sunday, probably ranking the first for the weekend movies at the box office.
