  • Cheese Storing Tips: To store cheese in refrigerator keep it in an air tight plastic container. Before melting the cheese leave it until it comes to the room temperature.
  • To boil milk in microwave, grease the edge of the bowl with butter. This will not let the milk spilt from the bowl.
  • If your kitchen smells of fish after you have cooked some, put a lighted candle in the kitchen for some time. The smell will be gone.
  • If you don’t have sugar at home you can substitute it with honey. The taste of the food will be different and your health will also improve.
  • If you are cooking your food in butter heat some oil first, about a table spoon, and then add the butter to it. The butter will melt easily and but get burnt.
  • Spices should always be stored in cool dark places. Use air tight containers to store spices. By this the spices will not lose their flavor.
  • Cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and allspice can be used while preparing sweet dishes.
  • To make low fat dishes cook in non-stick cooking ware.
  • Olive oil can be used for daily cooking. It is healthier than other oils and it will also add to the taste of your food.
  • While toasting the breads with butter, instead of putting lots of butter on the bread, you can melt the butter and use a brush to brush it on the breads. In this way you will be able to consume less fat.
  • While making breads at home, use warm water to make the dough. Your breads will be softer.
